This course will teach the fundamental tools to create and edit images in Photoshop. You dont need any previous experience as full instruction and guidance is given during each lesson. You will be introduced to Adobe Photoshop, working through the features in detail from the very basics to more advanced ones. You will also be shown how to improve your photography to better prepare images for editing.

This Level 1 qualification runs over one term and will help you develop an understanding of digital photographic processes and how to manipulate images using Photoshop. This programme aims to support learners to progress either into employment or onto further qualifications in the subject. The course is also a starting point for developing creative photography skills and can lead to progression to our L2 Creative Digital Photography course in January 2025.

This Level 2 qualification runs over two terms and will help you develop a professional understanding of photographic processes and image editing through practical projects and theory based lessons. You will also develop an understanding of employment opportunities and legislation relevant to photographic practice such as copyright. The course builds on the practical and creative skills of our L1 Creative Digital Photography course and prepares you for further study or work in the industry.

On this exciting course, you will learn all about shutter speed, aperture and lighting to achieve correct exposures in different situations to produce fantastic photos. This course is perfect for learning new skills or refreshing existing knowledge. You will learn how to stop using the auto button on your camera and to improve your images through a better understanding of basic compositional and perspective techniques. You should have your own digital DSLR camera to enrol on the course.
