For intermediate students, having attended three terms, you can work on your own project, altering design features on your patterns and learning new techniques to create garments that fit and have a personal touch.

You will make a skirt in Term 1, trousers in Term 2 and a top in Term 3.

You'll learn how to draft pattern blocks from scratch and understand how to achieve a good fit.

Suitable for intermediate and advanced learners with previous pattern cutting experience, it will equip you with the ability to transform personal fashion designs into professional patterns and wearable garments. You will build upon your knowledge of working with pattern blocks, and how to amend patterns and toiles for improved fit. The course will cover 2D pattern manipulation techniques, making patterns based on 3D draping, and an introduction to zero-waste pattern cutting.
